The ittyMIDI Serial to MIDI Converter Box is the only fully MIDI
compliant solution for converting RS-232 serial signals from all serial-capable Palm
handhelds to MIDI. It provides both a MIDI in and out connection. (Thru is
supported in the ittyMIDI Player software).
It can be used with Handspring and Sony units, which do not work with
serial to MIDI cables, as well as with many other
Palm OS® compatible handhelds to create a fully MIDI compliant
interface.
It comes with one 6 foot mini-DIN to MIDI
connector cable. Extra Cables are
available. (A male mini-DIN to female DIN adapter, often sold as
an adapter for computer keyboards, can also be used to connect a
standard MIDI cable to the box.)
Note: This cannot be used for MIDI connection to a PC, because PC serial
ports don't support the 31250 MIDI baud rate.
