The KeyDog USB Programming Cable is used when you want to change the factory default settings.
In particular, if you are using the switch matrix option or if you want to send different scan codes, a programming cable is required.
One of these cables is provided when you order a KeyDog-USB (KD-1USBR).
It is a ten foot cable which plugs into the USB slot on your PC and the USB connector on the KeyDog USB board.
